An 11 metre statement bar anchors the space, framed by a verdant copse of Longifolia Cabana trees – a bold echo of the garden’s original copses. Real and imagined foliage layer to form a botanical canopy, while a garden pergola and flanking trees enhance the immersive atmosphere. The result is a sensorial sanctuary that evolves throughout the day: a cocoon for midday coffee, a lush refuge for pre-theatre drinks and a seductive setting for evening cocktails.

At the heart of the concept is narrative – one of fantasy, folklore and the fantastical. Illustrated drapery encircles the space, blending flora with mythical beasts and strange creatures that nod to the eccentricities of the original gardens. The design collaboration with Light and Motion introduces a dreamlike edge, conjuring a surreal world both familiar and otherworldly.

Scent, lighting and touch deepen the experience. The bar is infused with the subtle aroma of soft rain and aromatic woods; fabrics are indulgent, lighting atmospheric. As evening falls, imagination and reality blur, and the ordinary transformed into the ethereal. The Rockwell is more than a bar.  It’s an invitation to escape.
