50 Marylebone High Street, London, W1U 5HN

A nostalgic reimagining of 1930s Vienna on Marylebone High Street, Fischer’s is an evocative café and konditorei with the guest journey considered in every detail.
STUDIO Shayne Brady was tasked with creating an interior that felt both beautifully aged and unmistakably authentic – designed not to imitate history, but to feel as though it had evolved naturally over time.

At street level, the warm glow of custom chandeliers and a reimagined period clock draw guests into an environment where every surface tells a story. High-gloss timber veneer panelling is paired with bespoke marquetry, the walls are lined with ochre tiles and distressed wall coverings, both designed to patinate gracefully over time.

Swirling patterns of the terrazzo floors echo the decorative spirit of Klimt.Layered and textured, the design speaks to a Viennese past without pastiche – original Thonet chairs, embroidered café curtains, custom-made lighting and curated artworks contribute to a space that feels quietly transportive.
An exterior clock and chessboard café tables invite leisurely afternoons of coffee and cake, while vintage glass tiles in the lobby doors add another moment of authentic discovery. The final result is a space as rich in atmosphere as it is in detail.
