74 Victoria St, London, SW1E 6SQ

This is a townhouse of twisted glamour and theatrical indulgence just moments from Buckingham Palace.
BAM Victoria reinvents the karaoke experience as a fantastical journey through imagination and excess. Inspired by the 17th-century legend of Nell Gwyn – actress, party-thrower and mistress of King Charles II – the interiors unfold as a surrealist interpretation of her crumbling townhouse, reimagined with riotous flair.

From the magenta-pink and gold façade to the velvet-lined BAM BAM bar, every element blurs high design with high drama. Across 22 unique rooms, each with its own immersive theme from The Flamingo Menagerie to The Library and The Speakeasy, guests are invited to step into other worlds. No two rooms are the same but all are rich in detail, layered with sumptuous fabrics, eclectic furnishings and a curated madness that walks the line between debauched and delightful.

A ground-floor bar and intimate terrace set the tone for al fresco cocktails and canapés, while a lower-ground stage invites live performances late into the night. Acoustic precision was a key priority, executed seamlessly alongside LEAN and KNEKTD to integrate technology without compromising atmosphere.
With bespoke murals by Michael May, playful nods to English heritage and contemporary flourishes, BAM Victoria is a masterclass in immersive storytelling. For STUDIO Shayne Brady, it was a chance to lean into unfiltered creativity – crafting a design that’s opulent, odd and utterly unforgettable.
