On the lower-ground floor of Simpson’s in the Strand lies Nellie’s, perhaps the project’s most unexpected and personal space. Conceived as a playful, sumptuous late-night bar, it provides a dramatic contrast to the refined elegance found elsewhere within Simpson’s.
Inspired by Dame Nellie Melba and the spirit of old-world glamour, the design embraces decadence with theatrical flair and an unmistakable sense of intimacy and mischief.
Rich ox-blood panelling, layered fabrics, animal prints and low, atmospheric lighting create a seductive, immersive setting that feels distinctly different from the rooms above while still belonging to the wider Simpson’s narrative.
The result is a space designed for late nights and lingering conversations. Discreet, glamorous and full of personality – intended to become a word-of-mouth destination for those who know it.
