The Drawing Room at The Cadogan offers a contemporary interpretation of the traditional hotel lounge. Designed by Studio Shayne Brady within The Cadogan, A Belmond Hotel, the space draws inspiration from London’s grand private residences, creating an elegant retreat where guests can gather, relax and linger throughout the day.

An intimate members’ lounge designed for long lunches, evening cocktails and elegant social gatherings. 

Inspired by the hidden Westbourne Stream, an ancient boundary marker of the Cadogan Estate that still flows beneath Sloane Square, the design introduces a sense of subtle movement and layered transitions throughout the space.

Studio Shayne Brady developed a richly atmospheric palette of ambers, burgundies and flashes of navy blue, combined with jewel-like textiles, softly glowing lighting and warm timber detailing to create a setting that feels both refined and deeply inviting.

Antique mirrored surfaces, brass accents and collected artworks add depth and quiet glamour, while sculptural furnishings and layered upholstery encourage comfort and intimacy.

At the heart of the room, the central bar acts as a social focal point from morning coffee to evening cocktails, balancing theatricality with restraint. The result is a space that feels discreet, elegant and quietly confident – conceived as a hidden retreat for those in the know.
